Dr. Dougan earned his medical degree from the prestigious University of the West Indies, Mona, Jamaica, and brings a wealth of knowledge to his practice.

Hailing from the beautiful British Virgin Islands, Dr. Dougan also serves as an Emergency Room Physician at the Dr. D. Orlando Smith Hospital. He looks forward to extending his exceptional care to a wider audience, making a positive impact on the health and wellness of the community.

Dr. Lewis is the Medical Director of The Wellness Center Medical Clinic where her aim is to bring a holistic approach to health care with emphasis on prevention and caring for the body, mind and spirit for the treatment of ailments. She is a UWI Graduate and also has a Post Graduate Diploma in Obesity Management. Since it is now known how many diseases are caused by excess weight, Dr. Lewis has dedicated much of her focus to managing chronic metabolic diseases, including Obesity and Diabetes. She is the President and Medical Advisor of the BVI Diabetes Association. She is always willing to provide education to the public regarding health issues, especially related to Obesity and Diabetes. These acts of service in the community earned her a Paul Harris Fellowship from Rotary Club of Road Town. As a person with ideas worth sharing, she was also a speaker at TedX Road Town. All of this while being the best mother she can be of two wonderful boys. As an added bonus, she is fluent in Spanish having spent some “younger” years in Cuba. Thomas Edison once said “The doctor of the future will give no medication, but will interest the patient in the care of the human frame, diet and in the cause and prevention of disease”. Dr Lewis is certainly a doctor of the future.

Ms. Aliyah Leaonard is our incredible Phlebotomist and Lab Manager here at Wellness Center Clinics! With a passion for helping people and a dedication to making every patient feel comfortable, she’s an invaluable part of our team. A trained Biologist, with years of experience, she joins our team with a passion to help you Live Well.

Ms. Leonard not only excels in her role but also shares her expertise as a phlebotomy instructor at HLSCC. She understands the fears and concerns many people have when it comes to drawing blood, and her caring approach ensures a calm and safe experience for every patient.

Dr. Marijuan, is a clinical psychologist and had spent a lot of years in in-school and community based programs that equipped her in working with different age groups. She is passionate about assisting individuals in healing their invisible wounds, alongside with her significant training in
crisis interventions and trauma rehabilitation to survivors of violence and trauma. In helping her clients, she implements treatment plans using integrated approaches in counseling and psychotherapy. Additionally, she uses different psychological tests and is adept at making psychological assessments to be able to fully apply the therapeutic process with her clients.

Dr. Arnel Soller MD has more than 20 years of experience as a pediatrician. After earning a Bachelor of Science major in Zoology as his premed and a doctor of medicine (M.D.), he completed his postgraduate 4 year pediatric residency program. He passed his pediatric board exams in the Philippines, along with his US Medical Licensure Exams. In his work experience, he has managed intensive care from newborn to all children, but as a pediatrician and a father himself, he cares for all children, including adolescents. He has worked in Asia, the Middle East and Caribbean, including several years in the BVI. He now brings his wealth of knowledge and experience to the Wellness Center Clinics where he will help your child to live well.

Dr. Andrew N. McIntosh is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with almost 20 years of experience in the specialty. He attained his DM in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus, Jamaica and practiced in Turks and Caicos Islands and Jamaica before moving to the British Virgin Islands. He has extensive experience in the management of pregnant patients throughout their pregnancy, during delivery, and in the post-delivery period. He is competent in the management of high-risk pregnancies, and in the performance of both pregnancy-related and gynaecologic ultrasound investigations. Dr.McIntosh also performs wide range pregnancy-related and gynecological surgeries. With the mantra – delivering patient-centered evidence-based medicine, Dr Mcintosh brings a high level of service and broad expertise to the Wellness Centre Medical Clinic.

Dr. Romanus Okechukwu Nwankpa, OD, MPH, B.Th, is a distinguished optometrist with over 25 years of clinical excellence in comprehensive eye care. He holds a Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Benin and a Master of Public Health from the University of Ibadan, specializing in Human Nutrition. Additionally, he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Theology from Immanuel College of Theology and Christian Education, Ibadan.

Dr. Nwankpa’s expertise spans across primary eye care, contact lens fitting, ocular disease diagnosis and management, and co-management of surgical patients. He is renowned for his patient-centered approach and proficiency in advanced diagnostic technologies.

He has served in various professional capacities—from Principal Optometrist at Sight Savers Foundation to his current role as Managing Director and Chief Optometrist at Goshen Ophthalmic Eye Clinic in Ibadan. His leadership extends to humanitarian efforts as the Founder and President of the Goshen Foundation for the Blind and Visually Impaired, where he organizes free community eye examinations and coordinates education support for the visually impaired.

Dr. Nwankpa is licensed by the Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians Registration Board of Nigeria and is an active member of the Nigeria Optometric Association. He is also an ordained Anglican priest, reflecting his deep commitment to both healthcare and spiritual service.
